Program terms
Referral program
Send a business. They get 15% off, you get 10% back, plus monthly bonuses.
Last updated 28 October 2026
The short version
- Share your link with a business that needs a website, an app or advertising.
- The business you refer gets 15% off their first 3 months of their monthly plan.
- When they pay their first invoice, you get 10% of their first payment back as credit on your tkati account, rounded up to the dollar.
- Bonuses are chosen by tkati at the end of each month, aren’t guaranteed, and are added as credit.
- Credit becomes yours to use 30 days after their first payment, and is cancelled if that payment is refunded or disputed.
- Credit covers up to half of any bill; anything left carries over to the next one.
- Credits come off your monthly plan, not one-off projects or third-party costs.
- Use it on your plan, or cash it out at 25% of its value. A cash-out pays 25% of the credit’s value and uses that credit up: $400 of credit cashes out as $100.
- Cash-outs start at $25, from $100 of credit, once the credit has passed its 30-day hold.
- Credit cannot be transferred or sold, and cash-outs are paid only to you.
- If your account closes or your plan ends, unused credit lapses; credit already used or cashed out stays as it is.
- Referrals made before 25 October 2026 keep the $100 credit promised then.
1. Who can refer
Any tkati client with a client account can refer a business. Your referral link is in your account, under Refer a business, and it is yours. You can choose your own link (tkati.com/r/ and a name of 3 to 16 letters or numbers, such as your name or initials) and change it once a month; every link you have already shared keeps working. Capitals or not, it is the same link.
2. How a referral is recorded
- A business is referred when it gets in touch with us through your link (an address like tkati.com/r/ followed by your code).
- When someone follows your link, their own browser remembers your code for 60 days, in a small first-party cookie set by tkati.com. There are no third-party cookies, and nothing is shared with anyone else. If they follow more than one referral link, the last one they followed counts.
- We may also record a referral by hand, when a business tells us who sent them.
- A business can be referred once.
3. Who counts
A referral counts only for a business that is new to tkati and unrelated to you. It cannot be your own business, or one with the same owner, the same family, the same address or the same company as you. A business that is already working with us, or already paying us, cannot be referred.
4. What the business you refer gets
The business you refer gets 15% off their first 3 months of their monthly plan with us. It is taken off automatically when they start their plan, from their first invoice; there is no code to type.
If their plan already has a lower price for its first month, they get whichever of the two saves them more over those first 3 months; the two are not combined. Their account shows them which one applies before they pay.
5. What you get
- The moment the business you referred pays their first invoice, you earn credit on your tkati account worth 10% of that payment, rounded up to the next whole dollar, and we email you to say so. “That payment” is what their first invoice charged them, after their 15% off and before any tax added on top. For example, a first month of $212.50 earns you $22.
- The credit is held for 30 days from their payment. After that it is yours to use, and it comes off your bills by itself.
- Bonuses: at the end of each month tkati may add a bonus to your account, as credit, for the businesses you sent. Bonuses are chosen by tkati, their amounts vary, and they aren’t guaranteed. A bonus is yours to use at once.
- Credit covers up to half of any bill; anything left carries over to the next one, until it is used. On a $49 plan, up to $24.50 comes off each month.
- Credits come off your monthly plan, not one-off projects or third-party costs. Project work, setup fees, advertising spend, domains, and phone or text use are paid in full.
- Refer as many businesses as you like: your credit keeps coming off, up to half of each bill, month after month, until it is used up.
- If you do not have a plan with us yet, the credit is kept for you, and comes off your monthly invoices once your plan is running.
- One credit per referred business, ever, however many invoices they pay.
- A business you referred before 25 October 2026 still earns the $100 credit these terms promised then.
6. What a credit is
A credit is a promotional discount on tkati’s monthly plan, covering up to half of any bill. It cannot be transferred or sold. Its only cash value is through a cash-out, at 25% of its value (section 7).
7. Cashing out
- Credit keeps its full value on your plan. You can instead cash it out: a cash-out pays you 25% of the credit’s value in money, and uses that credit up. For example, $400 of credit cashes out as $100, and your credit goes to $0; $50,000 of credit would cash out as $12,500.
- Only credit that is yours to use can be cashed out. Credit still in its 30-day hold cannot. Bonuses count as credit.
- Cash-outs start at $25, which is $100 of credit. A cash-out takes your whole balance, and the cash is rounded down to the cent.
- You ask for a cash-out in your account, under Refer a business, after seeing the exact figures. The credit is set aside the moment you ask, so it no longer comes off your bills. You can have one cash-out waiting at a time.
- We review each cash-out, then pay it to you in US dollars, normally within 14 days of your request. We may decline one, for the reasons in section 9; if we do, we tell you why, and the credit is back on your account.
- If a payment behind your credit is refunded or disputed before we pay your cash-out, the cash-out is cancelled and the credit that still stands is back on your account; you can ask again. If that happens after we have paid, the credit you cashed out becomes a negative balance that your next credits pay off first. We never bill you for it.
- Before we pay, we may ask for your tax information, such as a Form W-9. If your payments from us in a year reach the IRS reporting threshold, we may report them on a Form 1099. We ask for tax details only through a secure form, never by email, and you are responsible for any tax on what you receive.
- Credit and cash-outs are yours alone: they cannot be transferred, sold, or paid to anyone else.
8. Refunds and disputes
If the first payment of the business you referred is refunded, or disputed with their bank, the credit it earned is cancelled, whenever that happens. If only part of it is refunded, the credit becomes 10% of what they kept, rounded up to the dollar. If the dispute is decided in our favour, the credit is given back.
If part of a cancelled credit had already come off your bills, we do not charge it back: it stays on your account as a negative balance, which your next credit pays off first.
9. Fair use and fraud
You cannot refer yourself or your own business: a referral from the same client, the same email address, or an email address at the same company is not a referral. Referrals must be honest: no spam, no misleading claims about tkati, and no made-up businesses.
tkati may refuse or reverse credits, and decline cash-outs, for fraud, self-referral, fake businesses, or spam used to get referrals.
10. When credit lapses
If your account closes or your plan ends, unused credit lapses; credit already used or cashed out stays as it is. Credit you have already used stays used, and a cash-out you asked for before then is still reviewed and paid.
11. Privacy
We do not tell the business you refer that it was you: they are told only that a tkati client referred them. Your account shows each referral as a business you referred, with its stage and its date, and nothing of theirs. Our Privacy Policy covers the cookie described above and everything else we keep.
12. Changes and questions
We may change or end the referral program with 30 days’ notice. Credit you have already earned is honoured under the rules in force when you earned it. These terms add to our Terms of Service; for the referral program, where the two differ, these apply.
